Middle Photo:  GSHF measured and cut out area that was sun damaged.  Options were discussed with customer for installing a border.  A Brazilian Cherry border was chosen to accent the unique shape of the room.  Sun damaged line was completely removed and a new border remains.

Bottom Photo (after):  Final Product after border is installed and flooring has been sanded & refinished.

Top Photo (Before):  Existing flooring was damaged due to bathroom leak on the floor above.  GSHF had to remove the middle of the dining room floor and could not match the exisiting pre-finished 12 year old flooring due to manufacturer's change in product.

Existing flooring was removed in the middle of the room and GSHF supplied a new pre-finished floor with a custom made design wrapped with a perimeter border. GSHF installed new flooring in the middle to create a custom design to offset the difference in flooring.

Pictured on the left is a Living Room/ Dining Room Area done in 4 1/4" Red Oak Select/Better.  The project included installation, sanding and finishing, custom staining, and installation of a decorative medallion.

Pictured to the right is random width 3", 5", and 7" Yellow Pine installed and then top nailed every 16 inches with 2 inch hard case masonry nails.  After consultations with the customer, GSHF developed a custom stain color and the floor was finished with tung oil to create and imitate the glow of an 1800s Williamsburg, Virginia home.

Pictured to the left is a Living Room / Dining Room Area done in 2 1/4" Red Oak.  The flooring is stained natural with a custom border installed.  The design of the border was achieved through consultations with GSHF.
Pictured to the left is a repair job done to a 2 1/4" Red Oak Floor.  The floor was damaged and was in need of repair due to severe dog urine stains.  The affected boards were pulled from the floor, replaced with new 2 1/4" unfinished red oak, and spliced into the existing flooring.  After sanding and finishing, the floor has been restored.
Pictured to the right is the replacement of a staircase.  The homeowner started with a staircase that was a builder grade set of pine treads and risers which was previously covered with carpet.  The carpet was removed and a new staircase was built with a new set of oak treads, risers, and handrail to upgrade the staircase and give it a more rich look.
Top Photo (Before):  Customer purchased home that had wall-to-wall carpet installed in this living room.  Carpet had been repeatedly steam cleaned / shampooed.  Upon removal of carpet, exisiting flooring had several water marks.

Bottom Photo (After):  Floors were sanded in three stages to remove water marks or detergent marks and were finished with three coats of finish.  All marks were removed.
Pictured to the left is a customer project which entailed salvaging antique heart pine wood from a 100 year old burned down church.  The wood was milled from it's original state into hardwood flooring and installed and finished.  The customer was able to salvage a piece of history and add unique character to her home.
Pictured above is a antique cork floor from a 1950s farmhouse that we completely restored to it's original state.
Pictured above is 5" Heart Pine from an 1880s farmhouse which has been refinished and restored to it's original condition.
